The Brushes I use everyday!

Hi guys!

So I'm back (a little late) with my blog on the brushes I use everday! I have so many brushes and it varies from time to time from what I use! So here they are...

Firstly I use 3 foundation brushes yes 3!!! Crazy I know! (When I have plenty of time obviously going to work or a night out!!) But it works!!!

After I've put on my primer, strobe cream and concealer!

I start to apply my foundation with my favourite MAC duo fibre 188 brush!!

Then I use my blank canvas f20 brush to go over the foundation really buffing and patting it on to the skin! It gives such a HD perfect finish to your make up! Love it!

use my blank canvas f23 Brush (above left) lots! I use this mainly for concealer at the end to clean up or if I'm in a hurry to throw in my bag for my foundation when I'm on the go and havnt time to spend on the base! But I have to say I love spending time & perfecting the base!! I think if that's right the rest of your make will sit a lot better!

I use my blank canvas fan brush to lightly dust powder over my make up so it lasts as long as possible! You can also use this brush for powder highlight!

Next up my contour brushes I have two i absolutely love....
One from crown c405 and one from blank canvas f15!! I turn the red blank canvas brush on its side not using the tip so it's not too harsh!!

I love blank canvas f22 blusher brush too!
(Below centre!)

Now brows, the only brush I use!!!!! So I need to have 2!!! MAC 208 brow brush!

For Eyes ~ MAC 217 blending brush is by far the best brush in my opinion! For my kit I need 2/3! Then MAC 224 tapered brush and 221(it's new and a must have)!

Good alternatives and a little cheaper are blank canvas e26, e42 and e10!

For gel liner MAC 263!!! Nice and thin to give a clean line!

I'm loving Ayu pencil brush....for under the eyes or outer corner, I got it college and still use it..you can order brushes on AYU.ie!!

So happy shopping everyone!!! Don't buy them all at once!!!

H o w. To.

Hi everyone,

So I've decided to do a post on my make routine, the order I apply it and how I apply it... I'm going to do it in two parts...firstly what i use and how and the second post will be what brushes I use for certain products!!

I know for me from previous years I see something on Facebook someone had used and I think oh wow il get that then when I get it..ok how do I actually apply it or where does it even go on my face? Or what order do I even apply these things?!!

So this is just based on how I learned to apply make up from my course I actually tweeked it around a little just from experience now I find it easier to apply certain products before other ones etc. it comes with practice and what you think looks good or even what you find easier or quicker to do over time!!

So firstly I apply my moisturiser I wait about 5 mins and then apply my primer using about two pea sized amounts, all over the face.

I then apply a tiny amount of MAC strobe cream to the face to give that little healthy illuminating look to the skin ( a must have product!!)

Next I use my mac mineralise concealer in nw25 under the eye area, in a triangle shape and also in areas where I have blemishes or breakouts.

Next I apply my foundation I love MAC prolongwear or studio fix as I'm quite oily so it gives me a more matte finish with good coverage. I use my blank canvas F20 brush for this which i will discuss more in the next post. I use the shade nc30 or nc35 as I always wear tan going out. Nc has a more golden tone.

Up next I apply my powder I use mac translucent powder all over dusting it lightly over the whole face. (Love) it also comes in a compact version.

Next up I usually go to my brows brushing them through with a disposable wand then I apply my anastacia dipbrow in dark brown using my MAC 208 brow brush and combing through again to look more natural. I sometime use my HD palette or mystery or espresso shadow from MAC. Omega shade is great for fair hair or blondes. Anastacia dipbrow comes in many different shades!

Next you can either do the eyes or contour/ highlight!! Up to you!! Whichever you find easier!!

Today il pick contour first I apply my contour using my sleek palette or 'harmony' from mac (a browny contour powder) creating a 3 shape on my face, think of 3 motions also

-top of forehead
-ear to mouth
-jawline

I use my blank canvas red brush lightly for no harsh lines or my crown contour brush.

Next up blush, easiest way to apply blush is to smile and apply it to the apples of the cheeks! Simple!

I love all my MAC blushers but my fave powder blushes are -
Dame, pink swoon, dainty, peaches, warm soul and Melba.

I am also so impressed with the crown palettes at the moment I honestly think they are a must have €15!!!!!! For ten shades!! Bargain!!

On to highlight, I use either MAC soft & gentle highlight (powder) or hush from MAC (cream highlight) I love them both. With highlighting you are creating a 'C' shape around your eye so starting tops of the cheek up around the temple! So when the light hits your face you will have a beautiful highlighted look! With hush I use my fingers and with soft and gentle I use a brush! Here is a pic to help ~
brown is contour, pink is blush and yellow is highlight!

On to the eyes, so firstly I use MAC painterly paint pot all over to put a base on the eyes, then I apply a colour like Brule a matte cream eyeshadow all over, next I use a soft matte brown like kid onto the lid and in the crease. This is a perfect everyday shade! I use my 217 mac blending brush! If you want to do a night time look put a darker shade in the outer corner and put a shimmer colour on the lid for a smokey eye effect!

(Kid from MAC)

Next up pop on your liner I'm using inglot 77 gel liner at the moment and really liking it! I apply this with an angle brush!

I love to pop something like a soft brown under the lower lash to define the eyes you can use an eyeshadow for this or just your pencil like teddy or coffee from MAC both brown. Can be used in the water line also.

For night time pop on a bit of black eye pencil like feline or black brilliance pencils from MAC!!

Now lots of mascara!!!

Then a little bit of lipstick or lipgloss and you are done!

My everyday faves are -
Just superb lipgloss MAC

Lipsticks -
Hue MAC
Peach blossom MAC
Pure zen MAC
Creme cup MAC
Viva glam 2 MAC
Velvet teddy MAC
Angel MAC

Hope this helps! Tomorrow the brushes I use!!

CATRICE ~ budget friendly must haves!

Hi all!

So I've decided to put up a few of my favourite products from CATRICE!!

Nice and cheap!!

I am loving this CATRICE Rose palette the colours are so beautiful, you can also get nude matte shades but I just love these soft pink rose colours!

Next up, are these fab nail polishes I personally love the CATRICE nail polish I think the colours are fab and they dry so quickly I literally popped mine on while drinking a cup of tea!! I love them! You can also buy a top coat which I havnt bought as to be honest I didn't think I needed it, these are some of my fave colours €2.49 each!!

I love this CATRICE liquid liner called 'dating joe black' it was actually the girls at work who had been talking about the CATRICE liner so I was dying to try it! It does not budge... I apply it with my MAC liner brush! I think the liquid liner is around the €4 price mark!

I love this illuminating blush, by far..pink is always my favourite colour in a blush! Last thing I pop on before my lipstick is blush & highlight.. Easiest way to apply blush is smile and pop it on the apples of your cheeks....

And lastly I love the primers from CATRICE I use them everyday!!!!!! And my make up lasts ALL day long with just a little bit of powder to top up when needed! This is the prime & fine smoothing refiner..fab product!

Hope you enjoy my CATRICE must haves!

Happy shopping!!
